  彼は泣きそうになっていた。I could've swornは、「～なのはほぼ確かだ」という意味でI'm sureと同じような感じ。
• Get the shit beat out of　人をぶちのめす
• It means the only reason they were able to wale on him for as long as they did is 'cause they didn't have enough of us on duty that night,'cause the prison doesn't give a shit about anything except its bottom line.
